20 Jan Canadian Motorsport Historical Society Open Meeting
Posted: January 20, 2024
The Canadian Motorsport Historical Society (CMHS) is building the country’s largest collection of Canadian online motorsport archival material. You can find their website either by clicking here or on their logo in the right hand column of this website.
The CMHS is conducting an online ‘open house’ meeting on Monday 27th January at 7:30pm EST (Toronto time). The purpose is to share with interested motorsport enthusiasts who they are, what they’re doing, where they want to go in future, and what they need help with. Everyone is welcome. All areas of Canadian motorsport (cars, motorcycles, karting, boats, snowmobiles, etc.) are included and they really need help to develop it. ‘Many hands make light work!’
The meeting agenda includes a brief history of the CMHS, a presentation by a guest speaker, and an open discussion on what attendees would like to see in the archive and what the CMHS requires in terms of assistance to meet their goals.
The guest speaker will be John Wright, John will be doing a presentation on his recent book, “Fast, Faster, Fastest – The Bill Sadler Story”. As many know, the late Bill Sadler is a legend in Canadian motorsport and was our guest of honour at the 2011 BCHMR. (here). More information on John’s book can be found here.
The online meeting will be conducted using Google Meetings. (link). The usual online meeting protocols will apply: raise your hand to ask a question, mute yourself if you are not speaking, etc. We hope you can join us.
